Cost of Living Action.

Doing what matters for Queensland.

Steven Miles is doing what matters for Queensland and delivering cost of living relief.

  • $1,000 off energy bills with an extra $372 for pensioners

  • 50 cent public transport fares

  • 20% off car rego

  • Free kindy and free TAFE

  • $1,000 cash-back for tools for first-year apprentices in construction trades.

  • $200 FairPlay vouchers for kids

This is the largest investment in cost of living support in our State’s history and means a family with two children could receive over $2,000 in cost of living support.

Cost of Living Action.

Record energy bill rebates

Every Queensland household is receiving a $1,000 energy bill rebate. In addition, vulnerable households are eligible for an extra $372.

This will cover more than half of the average household yearly energy bill.

The Miles Labor Government has taken on multinational mining companies to make sure Queenslanders get their fair share of our resources to deliver cost of living relief.

Steven Miles has a big plan to get more Queenslanders on public transport and take cars off the road.

That’s why Labor has cut all public transport fares to 50 cents forever.

By lowering fares to 50 cents, we’re taking pressure off household bills and easing traffic congestion.

Our trial of 50 cent fares saved Queenslanders $29 million and taken more than 2.6 million car trips off our roads, in just the first five week. It’s why Labor are making 50 cent fares permanent.

We're also delivering a 20% discount on your rego. This is reducing the registration cost of a private 4-cylinder vehicle by almost $85, brining registration fees down to $338.75.

Labor’s rego discount includes motorcycles and trailers and means the owners of 5.7 million vehicles across the state will pay less under Labor.

This is all at risk under the LNP.

Queenslanders can’t trust David Crisafulli and the LNP.

David Crisafulli and the LNP have a plan to give more than $10 billion a year back to multinational mining companies by cutting coal royalties. The only way he can pay for it is cuts to cost of living support.

Last time they were in government, the LNP promised not to cut jobs and services – but they did.

Under David Crisafulli and the LNP, all of this cost of living support is at risk.
